Interested in becoming a faculty member of the Genetics Training Program (GTP)?
The GTP is an interdisciplinary training program that provides enriched genetics education for graduate students conducting PhD dissertation research in the following departments: (1) Biological Chemistry; (2) Ecology and Evolutionary Biology; (3) Human Genetics; (4) Microbiology and Immunology; (5) Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology; and (6) Pharmacology.
Open configuration options
The Genetics Training Program is administered by an Executive Committee (EC) comprised of one faculty representative from each of the six participating departments.
A cover letter (no more than two pages on your UM letterhead), which outlines the goals of your research program, training philosophy, and how genetics (broadly defined) factors into your research.
A copy of your current NIH Biosketch.
A copy of your “Other Support” document—it can include start-up funds and pending applications.
The GTP Executive Committee will review your materials once received and you will be notified via email regarding the outcome of your application.
