Sidney Arrington and Timberlee Whiteus are graduate students at the University of Michigan committed to the amelioration of the world through systematic change and social justice in all realms.
Sidney Arrington is a native Detroiter and a two time Black Wolverine studying Social Policy and Evaluation with a concentration on Community and Social Systems. Arrington serves as a mentor to the NAACP UM Collegiate Chapter, and a current fellow at City Council Office of Raquel Castaneda- Lopez. Arrington's passion for social justice was birthed at Renaissance High School as she was a student senator and liaison between students and administration. Her passion for social change has only increased tremendously as her final semester at UM School of Social Work. Arrington hopes to contribute to systematic change by working at the mezzo level of Social Work and assisting communities while promoting policy change. Outside of the classroom, you can find Arrington painting, capturing moments, or blogging about her global experiences.

Timberlee Whiteus was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan, and is an alumna of the University of Michigan with a Bachelor of Arts in Biopsychology, Cognition, and Neuroscience. Whiteus is an avid traveler, and with her experience in research, she is interested in examining the intersectionality of factors that influence behavioral choices and health outcomes. Returning to her alma mater in the fall, Whiteus plans to refine her skills as a Master's of Public Health student. Ultimately, Whiteus goal is to combine advocacy and health, improving accessibility to health care and health behaviors overall through the implementation of community intervention and educational programs.

Both Sidney and Timberlee attended Renaissance High School, was in Student Senate, University of Michigan (undergraduate and graduate school), served as President and 1st Vice President of NAACP UM Chapter, and currently work with NAACP on the state conference level
Both Sidney and Timberlee value global experiences and traveling to new places to authentically learn culture, history, food, and practices a textbook cannot provide.
Sidney is interested in the intersection of Social Work and Political Science with a focus of event planning and global travel to spread awareness and create policy change.
Timberlee is interested in the intersection of behavioral choices and how they affect our health and susceptibility to diseases.
