Getting to and from Ann Arbor:

If you are flying into Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport (DTW), the easiest way to Ann Arbor is to book the Michigan Flyer, which visits both terminals and drops passengers downtown: https://www.michiganflyer.com

Getting around Ann Arbor:

The University of Michigan comprises two campuses: “Central” campus (the downtown campus) and “North” campus (the location of the School of Music). To get to North Campus from Central Campus you can take one the University's Blue Buses for free. Catch a bus going north from the Central Campus Transit Center and get off the bus at Pierpont Commons. It's a short walk from there to the Music and Dance Buildings. You can see where buses are in real time here. You can also plan a trip through Google Maps.

To get to Brehm Pavilion from the bus stop at Pierpont Commons, you will cross Murfin Ave., take the paved trail by the pond to the Music Building, and enter on the ground level. Continue straight ahead after entering the doors and you will pass a loading bay and rehearsal spaces before arriving at the Brehm Pavilion.

In addition, The Ride offers public transportation around the greater Ann Arbor-Ypsilanti area for a fare. For schedules and rider information check out their website here.

Getting around Campus and Campus Maps

Conference events will take place largely in the Earl V. Moore Building, on the University of Michigan’s North Campus. On Friday, we will also hold events in the adjacent Dance Building and at the Lurie Bell Tower. Our Saturday jazz concert will be held in the Walgreen Drama Center.

When coming to campus, please use the entrance to the Brehm Pavilion, which you can access from the parking lot. The other entrance to the building, marked by an installation that features two heads, is not the entrance that you want.

An interactive map of the entire University of Michigan campus can be found here.

The University of Michigan’s visitor center also provides the following maps of our various campuses.

The following map of the School of Music, Theatre, and Dance provides directions to our location on North Campus. This document also includes a map of the area around the School and guides to paid visitor parking.
