Dr. Margomenou is a Lecturer for the University of Michigan, Modern Greek Program. She is an anthropological archaeologist focusing on the prehistory of the Eastern Mediterranean. She is interested in human-environment interactions in the region over millennia, prehistoric economies and agricultural practices, as well as food storage and food storage technologies, She is also interested in heritage as political action, and conducts ethnographic research with activist groups and free seed exchange networks on the island of Lemnos at the NE Aegean.
