My name is Faraz Gurramkonda, and I’m a passionate engineer and researcher deeply immersed in the evolving worlds of artificial intelligence and software development. With a strong academic foundation—culminating in a master’s degree in computer and Information Science from the University of Michigan-Dearborn (GPA: 4.0)—my journey has been driven by curiosity, creativity, and a relentless pursuit of building meaningful, intelligent systems. From advanced AI integrations to full-stack engineering and VR research, technology has not only shaped my career but also transformed how I view and engage with the world.
I recently graduated with a master’s degree in Computer and Information Science from the University of Michigan-Dearborn, completing my thesis with a perfect 4.0 GPA. This journey reflects a focused pursuit of excellence in AI and software engineering, rooted in a lifelong passion that began during my early years in India. Along the way, I’ve combined academic research with real-world engineering: building real-time automation tools at Stryker, architecting AI-powered ERP systems at Great Lakes Civil Services, and leading the development of Xautomation—a universal API platform for small business automation. Most notably, my research on VR test smell detection was submitted to ASE 2025 and shared with the U.S. Army to support simulation systems. Across every endeavor, my goal has remained the same: to build intelligent, scalable systems that create real-world impact.
At the heart of my passion lies programming—not just as a skill, but as a creative force that transforms ideas into powerful, real-world solutions. For me, writing code is about designing systems that solve meaningful problems, whether through intelligent automation, seamless user experiences, or scalable backend infrastructure. Over the years, I’ve developed advanced proficiency in languages like Python, C, Java, JavaScript, and Ruby, applying them across a wide range of domains—from AI-driven platforms and ERP systems to VR testing frameworks and cloud-native APIs. Whether I’m building complex algorithms, integrating machine learning pipelines, or engineering full-stack applications, I find deep fulfillment in the craft of software development and its endless potential to shape the future.
My passion for AI goes far beyond theory—it's grounded in building practical, impactful systems. From my early experiences working with Python, BDD frameworks, and Docker to more recent roles where I’ve integrated AI into ERP platforms and simulation tools, every step has deepened my belief in AI’s transformative power. At Stryker, I helped automate test pipelines using AI-enhanced tooling, while in my recent work at Great Lakes Civil Services and Xautomation, I’ve engineered intelligent automation workflows and data-driven decision systems. These hands-on projects have not only sharpened my technical expertise but solidified my conviction that AI, when applied thoughtfully, can redefine how we solve real-world problems.
In addition to AI, my journey has expanded into full-stack web development, cloud computing, and DevOps. This cross-functional expertise allows me to approach each project with end-to-end understanding—whether it’s deploying ML models in production, building scalable web APIs, or designing real-time CI/CD pipelines. Over the past two years, I’ve contributed to a wide range of impactful projects, from modernizing legacy ERP systems to architecting agentic AI tools and building cloud-native microservices.
Beyond the code, I’m deeply engaged with the broader tech ecosystem. I’ve published VR-focused software engineering research shared with the U.S. Army, competed in advanced algorithmic challenges on platforms like LeetCode and HackerRank, and actively contributed to GitHub projects around infrastructure automation and AI tooling. Whether mentoring peers, building open-source tools, or collaborating across teams, I’m committed to lifelong learning and making meaningful contributions to the developer community.
My recent projects—including the Agentic AI Skip Tracing System, the VR Test Smell Detection Tool (submitted to ASE 2025 and shared with the U.S. Army), and Xautomation, a universal API for small business automation—aren’t just technical milestones; they reflect my core belief that AI is a force for meaningful, real-world impact. These initiatives address real challenges in civil services, simulation systems, and small business ecosystems, demonstrating AI’s ability to create scalable solutions with lasting value.
To me, AI is more than a cutting-edge technology—it’s a gateway to solving complex problems, transforming industries, and making life tangibly better. My journey in technology is not just a career; it’s a mission to build systems that empower, elevate, and drive the future forward.
If you're as passionate about AI and software development as I am, I'd be thrilled to connect and explore the endless possibilities together. Feel free to reach out, whether it's to discuss projects, share ideas, or simply have a conversation about our shared passion.
