Eligibility and Membership

To become a member of the Flint Area Explorer Post, participants must be:

• Between the ages of 14 and 20 and have completed eighth grade.

• Enrolled in school and have a minimum 2.0 GPA.

• Able to complete an interview process and background investigation.

• Able to complete an annual physical fitness test.

Those accepted in to the program will have the opportunity to participate in:

• Interactive training focused on various aspects of law enforcement subject matter.

• The opportunity to ride-along with active duty officers.

• Community service activities.

• Regional competitions and training with other Explorer posts.
