Welcome
I am Dr. Evan Rich, currently a Professor of Practice at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. I am interested in new and evidence-based ways of teaching Physics and Astronomy at the undergraduate level. My research interest is in planet formation by studying planet-forming disks around young nearby stars.
Previously, I was a visiting professor at Carleton College. Before that, I was a postdoctoral researcher working with John Monnier at the University of Michigan on the Gemini-LIGHTS survey, and you can find more information here. I received my Ph.D. from the University of Oklahoma in 2019 under the guidance of Dr. John Wisniewski and received my Bachelor's degree from the University of Kansas in 2013.
