Environmental Communication Lab

About

The Environmental Communication Lab uses social science to investigate how to create effective messages around environmental and science issues. Recent projects have investigated how best to communicate about global climate change, how different media sources cover science issues, and what types of environmental news stories are likely to attract viewers with different political and environmental orientations. The lab is highly collaborative, and lab members are encouraged to work together on research projects in addition to developing independent projects. Support for lab projects has come from the National Science Foundation and The Energy Institute.
