SMTD placement auditions are open to any currently enrolled U of M Student. We encourage all non-music majors to audition for our Campus Ensembles as the University Symphony Orchestra, Symphony Band, University Philharmonia Orchestra, and Concert Band all require a high level of performance and a rigorous rehearsal & events schedule that most non-music majors find prohibitive to their own course of study.
