David Li

I am a fourth-year student studying Electrical Engineering as my major and Mathematics and Statistics as my minors. I am passionate about learning and care about things that may not even have any practical significance. I believe that the world needs people who deeply understand the mathematical subtleties behind the technical algorithms. I have been working on the control aspect of a quadcopter for a year now. In this image processing project, I am the main algorithm developer who researches and comes up with strategies for achieving our goals. I can be reached at davidlxl@umich.edu.

David Engel

I'm a third-year Engineering Physics major with a focus in Electrical Engineering. I seek to build systems that advance the condition of humanity in this Age of Information, and I'm passionate about signal processing as a means by which to accomplish this. For this project, I mostly worked on the color detection algorithm and the chessboard identification algorithm. I can be reached at davengel@umich.edu.

I'm a third-year student majoring in Electrical Engineering. Image processing is an important part of digital signal processing, and I am very fascinated with this field. I've always enjoyed processing images using Photoshop but understanding how to implement the algorithms used in Photoshop is something I haven't done before. This project is a first step for me to explore image processing algorithms and the mathematics behind them. In this project, I am the main graphic designer who makes various block diagrams that are put on this website. I can be reached at hengruit@umich.edu.
