Our Technology Implementation & Planning workshop builds on EdTech 101 to help administrators and teachers facilitate successful tech rollouts.
How do we select the best devices or platforms for our school’s needs?
How do we align tech rollouts with student learning goals?
What kind of professional development do teachers need to succeed with tech?
How do we avoid deepening existing inequities through our tech choices?
What metrics matter most for evaluating the impact of our implementation?
Participate in our foundational workshop, EdTech 101: the role of tech in improving learning outcomes and career readiness.
Coordinate a date and time with your assigned volunteer to schedule a T.I.P. workshop at your earliest convenience.
After T.I.P. training, continue refining your technology implementation plan through our 1:1 T.I.P. coaching program.
*Many of these implementation steps are inspired by the Michigan Department of Education's Program Evaluation Tool for what constitutes a successful policy or program. The tool lists readiness, knowledge and skills, opportunity, implementation with fidelity, and impact as key factors.
What tools does your school have available? Where are the gaps? Who do we need to involve to address these gaps?
What restraints (compatability, cost, etc.) do we have for our technology? Can we run pilot programs?
Do we need to invest in more devices, bandwidth, WiFi, cybersecurity systems, etc.?
How can we build PD opportunities for staff or encourage peer training? Do we have a help desk?
Do we have solutions for students without home internet (i.e., hotspots)? What accomodations might students with disabilities need?
How do we measure success? How can we gather feedback? Who is in charge of replying to feedback and making program changes?
