The first time you wish to download data for a given study, a formal request for DataDirect PHI is required. To request DataDirect PHI, submit an access request form here https://www.umms.med.umich.edu/data-office-requests/accessrequests/new and select DataDirect Full PHI.

Once users apply for PHI access, their request will be reviewed and if approved they will be notified by email. Users only need to apply for DataDirect PHI once. Once you have been approved for PHI access, each project for which you have IRB approval to download data will automatically appear in the HUM dropdown when you create a new query.
