WHY DO YOU WANT TO CONTINUE ON THE BOARD?
I appreciate the opportunity to be considered for re-election to a board member position with the College of Pharmacy Alumni Society Board of Governors. I have a strong passion for the profession, and desire to contribute toward and celebrate work-ready graduates with necessary technical competencies and model behaviors.
Support for the academic achievements and recognition of the required effort is deserving of rich accolades. I obtain high personal satisfaction from mentoring pharmacy students and residents and participating in their career development. I value the career preparation I obtained from the University of Michigan College of Pharmacy and the dedication of the alumni and board of governors in helping to ensure that this educational experience is available for future students.
From my previous terms with the board of governors, I fully understand that to continue to set the university apart from others, actions are necessary to ensure scholarship support, faculty recruitment and retention while providing leading edge research capabilities. My current and previous professional responsibilities have allowed me to interact with multidisciplinary medical teams for a broad and deep view of the profession. My work at an academic institution ensures that I could remain current on pressing issues and new developments that can be considered by the University of Michigan College of Pharmacy with my re-election.
