My teaching experience allowed me to factor in all the feedback from my first time teaching into my second time and to find my "teaching voice". Connecting with my students and having thought-provoking conversations with them was, to me, one of the highlights of the long months of the COVID-19 pandemic. Teaching remotely also helped me appreciate the benefits of a flipped classroom format and understand the different needs of my students (recording the pre-lecture videos also gave me an appreciation for the surprising amount of time and effort that goes into making some of the Youtube videos I enjoy watching!).
