My name is Catharine Greenberg and this is my portfolio for completion of my Master of Science in Education from Johns Hopkins University. I am currently a sixth grade English Language Arts (ELA) teacher at Ewa Makai Middle School in Ewa Beach on the Hawaiian island of Oahu. I previously taught seventh grade ELA, also at Ewa Makai, during the 2020-2021 school year. I completed my undergraduate degree in Political Science and African-American Studies at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor.
Outside of my teaching commitments, I am passionate about politics and policy. My interests lie in the ways that policy intersects with class and race in the United States, and more specifically, how to combat attempts to weaponize policy in an effort to marginalize communities of color.
