Carmel Price is the Program Co-Chair for the 2022 Southern Sociological Society Annual Meeting.

Carmel is an Affiliate of the ACCESS Center for Arab Narratives (CAN).

The Center for Arab Narratives (CAN) is a program of ACCESS, the largest Arab American community non-profit in the country. CAN facilitates interdisciplinary and community-informed research to improve the well-being of Arab communities.

Carmel is part of a network of faculty experts for the University of Michigan Poverty Solutions.

The mission of Poverty Solutions is to partner with communities and policymakers to find new ways to prevent and alleviate poverty.

Carmel is a Faculty Affiliate of the Institute for Research on Women and Gender (IRWG) at the University of Michigan.

(IRWG) is an interdisciplinary unit of the University of Michigan Office of Research supporting research on women, gender, and sexuality.

Carmel serves as a Steering Committee member of Healthy Dearborn.

Healthy Dearborn is a community coalition of over 500 people that is working to create a culture of health in Dearborn. Carmel also leads the Healthy Dearborn Research Committee.

Carmel is a Global Fellow of the Center for the Study of Social Justice (CSSJ) at the University of Tennessee at Knoxville.

The Center for the Study of Social Justice (CSSJ) facilitates interdisciplinary research in areas of inquiry that inform scholars and policy makers about what is fair, equitable, and beneficial for people.

Carmel is a member of Bike Dearborn.

Bike Dearborn works to create a safe bicycling community while promoting the healthy benefits of biking for the residents and visitors of Dearborn, and environmental sustainability.

Carmel is an Affiliate Faculty of the Center for Arab American Studies (CAAS) at the University of Michigan - Dearborn.

CAAS encourages understanding of the history and experiences of Arab Americans and Arabic-speaking immigrants to the United States.

CAAS advocates this understanding through education, research, public outreach, and cultural exchange programs. In addition to offering a minor and a certificate in Arab American Studies, CAAS provides internship opportunities for students with professional, public, and community-based agencies. CAAS fosters community partnerships, encourage academic fellowships, and serve as a center for academic inquiry for scholars to investigate and share their work on the Arab American experience.
