Clinical Professor of Pediatrics, Michigan Medicine
Dr. Sunnye Mayes is Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Michigan Department of Pediatrics, Pediatric Psychology. Dr. Sunnye Mayes completed her graduate training program in clinical child psychology at the University of Kansas. Her training included an internship in pediatric psychology at the Munroe-Meyer Institute for Genetics and Rehabilitation at the University of Nebraska Medical Center, a site of the Nebraska Consortium in Professional Psychology. She completed her fellowship at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center, receiving pediatric psychology training in pediatric hematology/oncology, integrated primary care, and inpatient consultation and liaison. She is board certified in Clinical Child and Adolescent Psychology from the American Board of Professional Psychology. Dr. Mayes is a Professor of Pediatrics within the Division of Pediatric Psychology. She is an attending psychologist within the Pediatric Hematology/Oncology service, providing integrated pediatric psychology services to the families of children, adolescents, and young adults receiving oncology treatment and follow-up care.
Dr. Mayes is a Principal Investigator of the VISTA project and the pediatric psychologist for the Pediatric and AYA Oncology Program. She provides comprehensive clinical care to the families of children, adolescents, and young adults receiving oncology treatment and follow-up care.
