The Biodynamics Research Laboratory is located on the University of Michigan – Dearborn campus in Dearborn Michigan. The laboratory is housed in two locations on campus. It contains sufficient space for motion capture studies. The laboratory consists of a 12 camera motion tracking system, computer workstations, motion analysis software and two portable sports force plates. Motion capture data can be studied in the field using APDM wearable sensors.
The Cadex Linear Impactor System, FOCUS Headform, Hybrid III 50th Headform and neck, and gForce Tracker Head Impact Monitoring Devices can be used to examine head injuries due to medium velocity collisions.
The BioDynamics Research Lab also supports various projects for independent student research and senior design.
