My research interests lie in entrepreneurial finance, venture capital, private equity, and labor economics. In my dissertation, I investigate how limited partner investor bargaining power is related to investor-PE fund co-investment, and why fund managers co-invest. In another paper, my coauthor and I study how underwriting relationships drive VC returns, specifically through the VC firm's ability to take portfolio companies public. Another paper investigates the salience of the H-1B lottery as a friction in firm-worker relationship equilibria and how this affects career outcomes for unselected lottery registrants.
