Alex Tuft

I am a 5th year PhD student in Finance at the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan. My research interests lie in entrepreneurial finance, venture capital, and private equity. In my job market paper, I investigate how limited partner investor bargaining power is related to investor-PE fund co-investment, and why fund managers co-invest. In another paper, my coauthor and I study how underwriting relationships drive VC returns, specifically through the VC firm's ability to take portfolio companies public.
