Anticipated schedule of planned activities:
Monday, July 27:
Arrive in Fort Collins, CO, early afternoon; buses will take participants to CSU's Mountain Campus (~2 hours); dinner on campus; safety meeting and briefing of the upcoming schedule
Tuesday, July 28:
Meet on campus for a summary of previous and ongoing work related to the post-fire hazard cascade, followed by a lecture on the basics of the equipment used during the school and considerations of designing a survey. Depart Mountain Campus to visit the fire burn site. Break into groups and begin surveys. Return to campus before dinner.
Wednesday, July 29:
Depart Mountain Campus to visit the fire burn site. Break into groups and continue surveys. Return to campus before dinner.
Thursday, July 30:
If needed, finalize field surveys and return to Mountain Campus after lunch for a lecture on data processing and digital surface model change detection.
Friday, July 31:
Work in groups on change detection assignments provided newly acquired and pre-existing data from the survey area.
Saturday, August 1:
Depart Mountain Campus after breakfast for Fort Collins, CO.
