The first CLaSH Annual Meeting will bring together researchers, partners, and stakeholders from across the cascading hazard science community to build connections, advance collaboration, and shape future priorities. The meeting will highlight scientific accomplishments, identify key research gaps in cascading hazards, advance workforce development, and engage community partners.
June 24: Early registration opens ($375) | OT workshop (Free) & travel grant applications open
July 24: OpenTopography workshop & travel grant applications close | Regular registration opens ($375)
August 1: OpenTopography workshop & travel grant notification date
August 8: Deadline for cancellation and full refund
August 24: Final cancellation & partial refund deadline ($300) | Late registration opens ($550)
Sept 23: Pre-meeting events: OpenTopography topographic differencing (by application - see below) | Community Collaboration Workshop (by invitation)
Sept 24-25: Annual Meeting
Sept 26: CLaSH all-hands Senior Personnel meeting (by invitation)
Note: Late registration ($550) will remain open from Aug 24 until the start of the conference or until our 150-participant capacity is reached. The regular registration rate ($375) remains available for Gov't employees until registration closes.
Open to all professional geoscientists, engineers, graduate students, and postdocs in related fields. Space is limited to 150 participants, so we encourage early registration—once we reach capacity, registration will close.
Early & Regular Registration (Through Aug 24): $375
Late Registration (After Aug 24): $550
Note: Late registration will remain open until the start of the conference or until our 150-participant capacity is reached.
Travel Grants: A select number of $600 travel awards are available to support attendance for the meeting, the workshop, or both. Early-career researchers are highly encouraged to apply.
Workshop Registration: The OpenTopography workshop is free of charge, but attendance is capped at 40 participants.
Selection Process: Workshop participants and travel award recipients will be selected from the total application pool after the July 24 deadline.
