Program

Dr. Eduardo Corona is an assistant professor of Applied Mathematics at the University of Colorado at Boulder. After completing his Ph.D. in Mathematics at the Courant Institute, NYU with Dr. Denis Zorin, Dr. Corona was a Van Loo Postdoctoral Fellow at University of Michigan, working with mentor Dr. Shravan Veerapaneni. His research work is primarily in the area of fast algorithms for scientific computing, applying boundary integral methods, hierarchical matrix and tensor compression methods and optimization solvers to problems such as dense fluid suspensions simulation and efficient scientific data compression. 

Dr. Amy Cochran is an Associate Professor at the University of Wisconsin–Madison, with joint appointments in Mathematics and Population Health Sciences. Her research develops methods in applied probability, statistics, and causal inference, motivated by problems in mental health and clinical decision-making. A growing theme of her work is establishing the mathematical and statistical foundations for safe and effective AI-mediated clinical care.
