2024 SIAM Student Mini-Symposium in Applied Mathematics

The SIAM student chapter at the University of Michigan is hosting the 2024 SIAM Student Mini-Symposium in Applied Mathematics on September 15th, 2024. Sponsored by the Michigan Center for Applied and Interdisciplinary Mathematics, this event will allow students from different disciplines in the area to see what is being done in the field and promote interest in applied mathematics in general. This event is open to all undergraduate and graduate students in the University of Michigan.

Call for Presentations:

All graduate students, postdocs, and/or faculty at the University of Michigan are invited to submit abstracts on any research topic related to applied mathematics. Undergraduate students are invited to attend and/or present a poster on their research works. 

Presentation format: Research/expository talks: 20 minutes in length, followed by 5 minutes for questions and set-up for the next speaker.

Submission deadline: August 25th, 2024

Submission instructions:

• Title, abstract, and authors of your work to be presented

• Your name and department
