Here's what you'll need for the summer
The important things
Plane ticket (printed or electronic)
Driver’s license, or other form of government issued I.D. (required for airlines, drivers need to carry their drivers license)
Credit/Debit card and/or cash or emergencies or out of pocket expenses before arrival
Medical insurance card and prescription insurance card
Clothing
Undergarments
Medium weight socks
Long sleeve shirts (some medium fabric to keep yourself protected from the sun)
Short sleeve shirts
Medium pants (1-2 pairs recommended, quick-dry hiking pants or lightweight/loose pants are nice for the field and will dry quickly)
Warm jacket (i.e.fleece jacket/light weight down jacket)
Rain jacket
Gaiters or rain pants
Sun hat or baseball cap
Hiking boots and/or other waterproof shoes
Flip flops or sandals (for around campus, in the showers, etc.)
Loungewear or sleepwear (sweatshirt, pajama pants, etc.)
Additional items

Water bottles(s) - typically enough for 2L
Backpack or daypack
Cell phone & charger
Laptop & charger
Tupperware/food storage containers (for field lunches; plastic bags are provided, but Tupperware can help keep your lunch from getting smashed in your pack)
Flashlight or headlamp, batteries
Ear plugs (for sleeping)
Personal Toiletries – Soap and some other toiletries will be provided in the dorms.
