Horseshoe Crab Mortality in Ocean City, MD Residential Canals

In 2021 and 2022, residents of canals near 94th St. in Ocean City, Maryland reported unusually high numbers of dead horseshoe crabs in the canals.   

Researchers from the University of Maryland Eastern Shore are working to understand why so many crabs died in this location.
