Yujie Lin

I am a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Agricultural and Resource Economics at the University of Maryland, College Park.

I am an applied microeconomist with broad interests in environmental economics, transportation economics, agricultural economics, and applied industrial organization. My research centers on the effects and welfare consequences of environmental policies in the transportation sector. My work assesses fuel economy standards in Europe and vehicle ownership restrictions in China.

My job market paper estimates the implicit cost of waiting imposed by vehicle license allocations in China, quantifies its welfare effects, and investigates its impact on electric vehicle adoption.

I am on the 2021-2022 job market and will be available for interviews.
