One of the most important things that I considered while developing the workshop was to create an interarctive environment. In order to this, I always accompanied with relaxing, fun warm-up activities to increase the student engagement. As a person who was not confident with leadership and public speaking role, CPSA 260 genuinely helped me and provided me an opportunity to grow as a leader. Early in the semester, we exntesively learned about to create enaging learning environment. For example, one of my most successful method of engagement was to utilize gallery walks. Gallery walk allows students to walk around peers' work as well as giving feedback and constructive criticisms. Not only it encourages the students to get on their feet to actively participate and contribute to the discussion, but it also allows students to "develop disciplinary skills and expertise with different approach and persepctive, formulate questions about each other's work, articulate ideas, and foster interactions and conversations" (Turpen 2009). In addition, utilizing small group discussion allowed increased participation and active learning between peers. We had elevent students in the classroom, and this can be quite intimidating for some students who are not comfortable talking in front of everyone. To consider this point, having pair or small group discussion genuinely allowed everyone to contribute to class discussions.
