May, 2020 - Here is the progress of a CYC quilt that will feature children's drawing interpreted. Vera Wiest and Sophia Brown made the squares during quarantine. Thanks to Robin Wiest for donating much of the material.
Sophia's squares were inspired by drawings she made as a child, and Wiest chose drawings from CYC children to create.

January 2021 Progress
Boarders were sewn around each square in colors to match the classroom names.
A boarder for the outside edge was sewn on. Batting was placed in the middle with a background material behand it like a sandwich.
Each square was hand quilted (sewn) around through the top, batting and backing material. A large hoop was used to hold the pieces tight.
