All SAPST participants are REQUIRED to complete the 5-hour HealtheKnowledge online course, "Introduction to Substance Abuse Prevention: Understanding the Basics (Pre-SAPST Course)" prior to the virtual training. Course certificates must be submitted online no later than 4 PM ET on Wednesday, November 24, 2021.
The online course, Introduction to Substance Abuse Prevention: Understanding the Basics (Pre-SAPST Course), is a comprehensive prevention course, developed by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA). The Prevention Technology Transfer Center Network (PTTC) hosts the Pre-SAPST Course at Healtheknowledge.org, which is the online learning portal for the PTTC Network.

The course is self-paced, but we suggest that you plan to complete the course well in advance of the due date in case any technical issues arise.
Expect to spend up to 5 hours completing the online course.

To access the course, you will first need to create an account at Healtheknowledge.org. This is completely free, and once you have your account you’ll be able to register and participate in other PTTC courses. Upon clicking on the “REGISTER NOW AND BEGIN COURSE” button, you will be prompted to create your account.
Once your Healtheknowledge account is created, you will be able to register for the SAPST pre-course.
After you complete the course, download your certificate.
