BMGT - SUPPLY CHAIN
CANDIDATE STATEMENT
I grew up with the family background of military and philanthropy , which exposed me early on in my life to cultural integration, the importance to be the change you want in the world, and effective leadership skills in play. I believe empathy to understand everyone’s problems and look at them objectively, no matter how different they might be from one’s own, along with resilience and the grit to make tough decisions makes an effective leader. I am a masters student of supply chain management and we learn how to make complicated processes work better together. UMD has been one of the most culturally diverse environments , we have enormous potential to learn from each other. I am of the philosophy that no matter how good something is , it can always be bettered- and it all starts with identifying key issues that act as bottlenecks. My aim as a student leader would be to identify and eliminate these. I have been a part of student council in high school, been a class rep in undergrad and have been involved in Model United Nations Conferences. Whenever I’m not working I like playing golf, and hosting social events.
