Workshop Deliverables and Outcomes

Deliverables and Outcomes for the workshop on the Ethical Design of AIs (EDAIs) include the following:

• Knowledge Representation: The development of methodology(ies) for the acquisition, validation, and representation of ethical information in a way that can be incorporated into system design.

• Design Guidelines: Strategies that incorporate human centered design principles into the design of User Interfaces (UIs).

• Defining Objective functions, Datasets and Metrics, and Technology readiness levels to measure the success and limitations of prototype AI solutions in some selected domains.

• Regulation and Compliance: How do you craft regulations that can be incorporated into the design of systems? How can you design to improve and ensure compliance?

• Education and Training: While the expected outcome of the workshop is a road map for convergence research, there is an important need for the development of educational and training material for both AI designers and domain experts.
