Sam DeJoseph is a sophomore from Moorestown, New Jersey studying Environmental Science in the University of Maryland's College of Agriculture and Natural Resources. In his free time, he enjoys rock climbing and spending time with his pets. He loves animals of all kinds & exploring the outdoors. In the past, he has worked with bees, helped implement early childhood environmental education programs, and trained people of all ages in climbing. After graduation, he hopes to engage in field work and further his education in the conservation field.
Sam has historically experimented in many mediums of art, his favorites being ceramics and printmaking. He hopes to continue exploring new forms of art via Scholars. He is also looking forward to exploring what College Park & Maryland have to offer and interacting with the surrounding communities on and off campus. He is looking forward to classes on the campus farm and hopes to spend time learning more about the animals there. During his time in College Park, he is hoping to build a strong foundation in the sciences & interpersonal relations to prepare him for future work in the field.
