What I learned about the creative process is realizing how much time, effort, patience, and dedication it takes to create at least one song, let alone a music video. To start off with the process of creating anything, I first had to do a lot of background research on the different genres and what instruments make those genres, how famous and popular artists and producers create their beats, and how to use the programs to create my final project as this is my first time using a medium like this.
There are a lot of steps to this process, and the more prone distractions, procrastination, and avoiding the length of the project will take. The biggest problem that I had was procrastination as it is very hard to sit in one place and do one thing, knowing that there's something else that's more enjoyable that I could be doing. To combat this issue, a useful and very efficient technique used was the Pomodoro study technique where one spends a specific amount of time studying or doing whatever task that needs to be done and once that time is up, I am able to take a specific amount of time for a break. This ultimately spaces out my time to completing the task and drives myself to finishing up any work knowing that the "reward" waiting for me at the end is a break to do whatever I wish to do.
