During the creation of this project, I learned a lot about my creative process. I had never done a long-term project like this before so learning how to split up my work was a new skill for me. I had to plan out a schedule and tried my best to stick to it. In class, we learned different types of time management techniques. One that I found most helpful was the Pomodoro technique. I often found myself doing work for long periods of time and then taking even longer breaks which ended up taking most of my day. The Pomodoro technique takes what I do naturally but makes it more efficient. I set a timer for 25 minutes and worked then after the timer went off I took a 5-minute break. I repeated this as many times as necessary for whatever task I wanted to complete that day. When doing this with my creative work I found that with each break I would come up with new ideas during that time and add them during the next work section. I found that cutting back on the amount of work done at once made me want to take shorter breaks which made me finish my assignments faster.
