The path to realizing my creative process was surely a tumultuous one. The whole schedule that I created before winter break to get this project started and get a good bit done was thrown out of the window when I lost my first pet, Bucky. Since then, I can feel that my focus has not been what it should be. Therefore, trying out these creative processes has been quite helpful in getting me back on track to finishing this costume and this project. One thing that I felt particularly worked with me was the creative harnessing strategy of exercising. Getting up and taking brief breaks from my work allowed me to be able to be more productive in both my creative and administrative work. Sometimes, despite the difficulties, you do have to go through change before something can really work well. Plus, using some of these creative strategies made me more creative when finding different elements to incorporate into my costume!
These are the side plates that I spray painted and will be a part of the costume that Meteorite uses to fight with.
This is the apron I dyed black and used for the base of my chest piece armor.
This is me about to smash plates with a hammer to make shards for the armor.
These are the primary shards placed on the armor.
This was the first image of the wearable pants after finishing construction.
This is the final product of the crown from which Meteorite gets her powers.
This shirt is made of black sparkly fabric that was obtained from Joanne Fabrics.
Minus the armor and crown, this is the entire costume!
This cape was constructed out of a dress and skirt that were thrifted.
