How is artificial intelligence making your smartphone a better camera?
MNIST and MLP
Using the MNIST, a database with thousands of handwritten digits, and MLP (machine learning program), we coded a neural network that would recognize the digit one wrote. This is because the algorithm "trains" itself by using tha numbers in MNIST to recognize certain patterns in the digits.
Digital Image Processing and Convolutional Neural Networks
AI allows us to add and remove "noise" from our photos, with noise being random variations of brightness or color. This allows photographs to be clearer and overall easier to look at, which in turn makes the smartphone have a better camera.
