Introduction to an Honors University (IHU) Seminar/Transfer (TRS) Seminar: a semester-long course designed to help new students develop academic skills and learn about campus resources for college success

Teaching Assistants will co-teach, on a weekly basis, an IHU/TRS course with a staff instructor during the fall and/or spring semester while also meeting on a monthly basis to reflect on the experience

Office for Academic & Pre-Professional Advising (OAPA): provides advising for exploratory, undecided, and pre-allied health students, and coordinates campus-wide advising operations such as Orientation and the Major Event

OAPA Peer Advisors will assist students with addressing common academic questions related to registration, course planning, campus advising and registration tools, as well as preparation for appointments with professional advisors

Academic Success Center (ASC): provides centralized support services to all undergraduate students at UMBC with a focus on Academic Policy, Academic Learning Resources, and Academic Advocacy

Academic Peer Advocates (APAs) will meet with 1st-year, 2nd-year, and new transfer students in 1-on-1 meetings to support and empower students to take advantage of campus resources and provide individual support in partnership with their Academic Advocate

Admissions and Orientation: provides support in recruiting, admitting, and orienting all students to UMBC and preparing them to enter UMBC

Orientation Peer Ambassador (OPAs) will lead students through their summer orientation process by holding small group conversations, showing off campus, and talking about the student experience as a whole.
