How long does it take to complete the program?
Most students take the courses part-time, two courses per semester and a single course during the summer. Adhering to that schedule, the MEd program would take 2 to 2.5 years to complete; the Certificate program would take 1 to 1.5 years to finish. Note that there is a statute of limitations of 5 years to complete the program.

How much time per week does it take to complete a course?
A 3-credit graduate level course generally has 3 hours of class or seat time with 1-2 hours of preparation for each of those hours. This means that a 3-credit course will take around 10 hours a week to complete, including the 3 hours spent in class. Online classes do not meet for 3 hours each week, but it is still expected that it will take the equivalent amount of time, roughly 10 hours per week. These are general guidelines that accrediting bodies use to determine that courses are at the right level in terms of time. Individual courses will vary in terms of the amount of time they take to complete. Some students may complete courses in shorter amounts of time because of their prior knowledge. Also, some topics may take more time to complete than others.
Can I audit a class for free?
No. Students who want to audit a course must pay the full fees as explained in the Academic Regulations - Graduate.
