Instructional Technology Design Graduate Certificate Plan of Study

All Certificate students will complete three (3) core courses and two (2) electives (15 total credits) in order to satisfy the requirements for the Instructional Technology Design Certificate. Two introductory core courses will be completed at the beginning of the program (6 Credits):

• INSDSG 601 Foundations of Instructional Design and Learning Technology
• INSDSG 640 Planning, Design and Development of eLearning

The Certificate Program should culminate with:

• INSDSG 655 Project in Multimedia (3 credits)

In addition, students should select two elective courses (6 total credits) from this list that best meets their needs and matches their interests:

• INSDSG 605 Collaborative Learning Design
• INSDSG 610 Video Principles for Instructional Design
• INSDSG 616 Design and Authoring of eLearning*
• INSDSG 646 Universal Course Design
• INSDSG 684 Design and Instruction of Online Courses
• INSDSG 697 Special Topics in Instructional Design (topics vary by semester)

*Note: INSDSG 616 Design and Authoring of eLearning is strongly recommended as an elective. For more information on this course and whether to take it, please contact your academic advisor in the program.
