Your UMass Boston issued student email address is a formal means of communication for the University. If you do not check or forward your UMass Boston email address, you will miss important announcements from the University, the College of Advancing and Professional Studies, and the Instructional Design program. Announcements you will miss include, but are not limited to:

• Security alerts
• Alerts from Information Technology regarding system down times
• Registration and graduation deadlines
• Updates to the student handbook

The INSDSG Program will communicate announcements via your student email address through an email list. Therefore, it is the responsibility of each student to either check his/her student email account or forward it to another email account. You are required, as a student in the Instructional Design program, to either check or forward your UMass Boston student email account.
