Instructional and Learning Design Graduate Certificate Plan of Study

All students in the Instructional and Learning Design program will complete four (4) core courses and one (1) elective (15 total credits) in order to satisfy the requirements for this certificate. Two introductory core courses will be completed at the beginning of the program (6 Credits):

  • INSDSG 601 Foundations of Instructional Design and Learning Technology
  • INSDSG 602 The Adult as Learner


The other two core courses should be taken after completion of these introductory courses (6 credits)

  • INSDSG 642 Assessment and Evaluation in the Instructional Design Process
  • INSDSG 684 Design and Instruction of Online Courses


In addition, students should select one elective course (3 total credits) from this list that best meets their needs and matches their interests:
