I am currently completing my PhD Dissertation "2-Segal simplicial sets and pseudobimonoids in Span", advised jointly by Owen Gwilliam and Rajan Mehta at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.
I am a member of the ongoing WIT project "2-Segal Conditions in Higher Categories" led by Julie Bergner and Lyne Moser.
During 2020-2021, I was a postbaccalaureate student/researcher at the Smith College Center for Women in Mathematics.
I completed my undergraduate education at Columbia University and Bennington College (while working as a nanny for young children), where I studied math, computer science, dance, writing, and Japanese. Before that, I was a professional dancer and recreational writer/artist in New York.
My dreams include: furthering mutually-productive communication of mathematics between mathematicians and physicists (and eventually, mathematicians and the world at large), a world where math is less feared (especially by individuals who hold any of the various identities which are minoritized in math), and an education system which presents mathematics as an integral part of improving creative thought and logical problem-solving in all humans, regardless of signs of early aptitude or career relevance.
