The Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE) is a national organization that aims to change lives by empowering the Hispanic/Latinx community to realize their fullest potential and impact the world through STEM awareness, access, support, and development. Our student chapter at UMass Amherst aims to do just that with our local community by providing internship opportunities to our members, network opportunities with alumni, connections at top-end companies, and creating a familia that will stick together even after graduation. We also reach out to the surrounding communities to introduce emerging Hispanic/Latinx K-12 students to the endless possibilities they can find in STEM!
