Hi! I am Rong Rong, an Associate Professor in the Department of Resource Economics at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. Before joining the faculty of UMass Amherst, I received a B.S. in Economics from Shanghai Jiao Tong University and a Ph.D. in Economics from George Mason University.
My research uses experimental economics to address questions about managerial practices and public policies in the health and environmental fields. I have authored or co-authored many peer-reviewed publications in highly regarded economic and business journals, including the Review of Economics and Statistics, the European Economic Review, the Journal of Risk and Uncertainty, the Journal of Economic Behavior and Organization, the American Journal of Agricultural Economics, and Organizational Behavior and Human Decision Processes.
I have taught courses in (1) introductory microeconomics, (2) upper-level field courses in Managerial Economics and Industrial Organization, (3)capstone senior thesis, and (4) PhD-level experimental economics.
I am the current Graduate Program Director at the Resource Economics Department.
