5-minute / 5-slide lightning talks by grad students highlighting their GIS-related research. Educational and entertaining!
Fuel up with some coffee and tasty treats while chatting with fellow GIS nerds. This is your chance to find out about the top-secret (shh!) interactive campus map that's in development at UMass and get a chance to contribute to its development!
Miriam Olivares (GIS Librarian at Yale University) will give a talk on "GeoEmpowerment in Higher Ed: Transforming Purpose, Enriching Lives."
Join us for a low-key gathering at North Amherst's favorite brewpub to recap the day's events and meet new mappy friends. Prizes will be administered to Grad Slam winners and contestants who complete the Geocaching Challenge. We'll also be giving away five 1-year ArcGIS for Personal Use licenses. Last but not least, everyone who attends will be entered into a free map raffle!
