Create or Log Into Your Canva Account: Visit canva.com and sign up for a new account if you haven't done so already, or log in to your existing account.
Choose a Design Type: Click on the "Create a design" button in the upper right-hand corner of your screen. For video editing, you can either choose "Video" from the dropdown menu, or input custom dimensions for your project.
Upload Your Video: On the left side of the screen, click on the "Uploads" tab. Click on the "Upload media" button and select the video you want to edit from your device.
Place Your Video on the Canvas: Once your video is uploaded, click on it. It will automatically be placed onto your canvas.
Trim Your Video: Click on the video on the canvas to select it. Then click the "Scissors" icon that appears above the canvas to trim your video. A timeline will appear beneath your video. Drag the purple sliders on either side of this timeline to set your video's start and end points. Then, click "Done".
Edit Your Video: If you need to adjust other aspects of your video, like brightness, contrast, or saturation, click on the "Edit" button above the canvas. Make any necessary adjustments in the menu that appears.
Add Background Music: To add background music, click on the "Music" tab on the left side of the screen. Browse or search for a track you like and click on it to add it to your video. Note that some tracks require a Canva Pro subscription.
Adjust Music Volume: Click on the music layer, then adjust the volume by moving the slider in the menu that appears above the canvas.
Save and Download your video: Once you're happy with your video, click the "Download" button in the top-right corner of the screen. Select the video quality and file type you prefer, then click "Download" to save your video to your device.
