Bijesh Gyawali

About me:

I am a fourth-year Ph.D. student interested in behavioral/ experimental economics at  UMass Amherst. I am also part of inaugural cohort of STEM Leadership Fellows and  2022 cohort of REAL (Research Enhancement and Leadership) Fellows at the UMass Graduate School and Office of Inclusion and Engagement. 

My research examines how students’ beliefs about peers, their own ability, and the social costs of seeking help shape first-generation students’ success in STEM.
