ZDR | Module Registration Pilot Test 2025
Pilot Test Platform
Pilot Test Platform
One of the key initiatives under the Zero Defect Registration (ZDR) project is the simplification of the module registration process. This pilot aims to test the packaged registration of core modules for undergraduate students, assigned according to their respective programme structures.
This exercise involves students from the Semester I 2022/2023, Semester I 2023/2024 and Semester I 2024/2025 intake only (students from Semester II intake of each session are not included).
The pilot test will take place as follows:
Date: 30 July 2025 (Wednesday)
Time: 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Mode: Online (with system access (MAYA - TESTING ENVIRONMENT) and live support (Microsoft Teams))
Support teams from the Information Technology Department (IT) and Admission and Registration Centre (ARC) will be available live via Microsoft Teams throughout the pilot session.
Please note that this exercise is conducted within a testing environment and does not affect your actual enrolment for Semester I 2025/2026. You will need to repeat the whole registration process again when the module registration window opens.
On 30 July 2025, please join the briefing session via Microsoft Teams. After the briefing, you may proceed to participate in the Module Registration Pilot Test using the assigned link.
If you need more information or if you missed the briefing session you can refer to the Tutorial as a step-by-step guide to help you complete this test.
In general, what we are looking for is your input and experience going through the module registration process particularly at three key stages:
Step 1: Personal Details,
Step 2: Module Registration, and
Step 3: Pre-Invoice.
The most crucial part is Step 2: Module Registration, which is broken down into four sub-steps:
Step 2.1: Module Selection
Here, you will see the Core courses in the Compulsory Modules sub-section that have been pre-assigned to you for Semester I 2025/2026.
[TASK 1]: Check your Core modules first (you may include Electives, University Courses etc. later).
[TASK 2]: Click “Add Selected Module” (without Electives, University Courses, etc.)
✅ If the modules appear and are added successfully, great!
❌ If not, please let us know via the Feedback form.
[TASK 3]: Click "Check Clashing" button to detect any timetable clashes based on your module selection.
[TASK 4]: Click “Verify Module Selection”.
✅ If the modules appear and are added successfully, great!
❌ If not, please let us know via the Feedback form.
If you are unable to proceed with Step 2.2 or beyond, it may be due to timetable clashes or capacity issues in your assigned Core modules. These are important findings that will help us improve the system for the next semester.
[TASK 5]: Click “Submit Module Selection”.
✅ If successful, proceed to the next step.
❌ If not, please let us know via the Feedback form.
[TASK 6]: Click “Complete Register Module”.
✅ If it works, your registration is considered done!
❌ If not, please let us know via the Feedback form.
Your feedback is extremely important. Please submit feedback even if things go smoothly — and especially if they don’t.
