Hosted by the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, Universiti Malaya, the International Undergraduate Conference 2025 (IUC2025) invites undergraduate students from Malaysia, Southeast Asia, China, Japan, and South Korea to participate in a two-day academic event dedicated to exploring the theme “Creating Meaning, Driving Change: Young Scholars Engaging the World.”
Taking place on 23–24 October 2025, this conference offers a platform for young scholars to share their research, critically engage with global issues, and build networks across cultures and disciplines.
Through presentations, discussions, and publication opportunities, the conference aims to inspire emerging researchers to reflect on their roles as agents of transformation in their respective societies.
The IUC2025 is an academic initiative organised by the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, Universiti Malaya, to encourage cross-cultural dialogue and scholarly exploration among undergraduate students in Asia.
The 2025 edition focuses on the theme “Creating Meaning, Driving Change: Young Scholars Engaging the World,” calling for critical engagement with social, cultural, environmental, and technological transformations. Participants will have the opportunity to present their work, receive feedback, and publish their extended abstracts in a conference proceedings volume (with ISBN).
The conference fosters:
• Knowledge-sharing across borders and disciplines
• Intellectual development among undergraduate students
• Academic publication experience for emerging researchers
• Connections between students and academic mentors
We welcome individual paper presentations from diverse fields and perspectives that align with the theme and subthemes.
The Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, Universiti Malaya, invites individual undergraduate students from Malaysia, Southeast Asia, China, Japan, and South Korea to submit abstracts for the IUC2025.
